Where to see fall foliage in Canada

Summer has slipped away and fall is here! Don't worry though, Canada looks pretty great in the fall. Here are some particularly beautiful places to see fall foliage in Canada.

Algonquin Park, Ontario

If you live in Ontario, you owe it to yourself to see fall in Algonquin Park -- Canada’s oldest provincial park! It's a 3-hour drive from Toronto, which isn't bad because you'll see pretty fall colours all along the way. Plan a visit from mid-September to mid-October and prepare to be amazed by an incredible, colourful masterpiece of 24 species of deciduous trees.

Vancouver, B.C.

If you live in B.C., Vancouver is a great place to see the fall foliage. In particular, the Vancouver Seawall is a lovely area to peruse in search of changing colours. Walk along this beautiful waterfront stretch or bike.

Mont Tremblant, Quebec

If you live in Quebec, it's high time you saw fall in technicolour in Mont Tremblant

Located in the Laurentians, about 1.5 hours from Montreal, Mont Tremblant is best known for its incredible winter skiing but should be equally well known for its breathtaking fall foliage. Expect brilliant red, yellow and orange hues that are well worth the drive in mid-September to late-October.

Collingwood, Ontario

If you're an avid skier or snowboarder living in Ontario, you may know Blue Mountain in Collingwood as a popular place to carve some powder, but it's also a pretty spectacular place to see fall foliage. Located just a 2 hour drive from Kitchener and a 2.5 hour drive from Toronto, it's well worth the trip. Blue Mountain is a pretty fun place to visit in the fall. You can ride an open air gondola to take in the foliage from up high, do a ropes course to literally be up in the trees, and even splash around in a water park.

We hope you get the chance to experience these stunning Canadian destinations this fall. Fall's colours are fleeting, so strike while the iron is hot!
