Tips For Labour Day Celebrations In Toronto

Labour Day is just around the corner and there's plenty of ways to celebrate in Toronto. BentallGreenOak Residential Services has a few suggestions for events to check out in the city over the long weekend. 

 

Labour Day Parade

Don't miss the yearly tradition that celebrates the strength and solidarity of workers in Canada. The 2019 Labour Day parade will be held on September 2nd.  It will depart from the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) and travel along Queen Street. Expect music, lots of people and a whole lot of fun! This is also a great opportunity to check out all the events happening at the CNE this summer including rides, shows, performances and delicious food.

 

Toronto International Buskerfest

Prepare to be amazed at this year's Toronto International Buskerfest! Check out this amazing 4-day event that's filled with all kinds of entertainment including comedians, musicians, magicians, sword-swallowers, acrobats, clowns and more. This is North America's largest street performer festival, so don't miss it! By attending, you'll help raise awareness and valuable funds for Epilepsy Toronto which is a truly great cause. Buskerfest is located near Woodbine Park and runs from August 30th to September 2nd, 2019.

 

Harbourfront Labour Day Festival 

If you like listening to music in a great atmosphere then you better head over to Harbourfront Centre for the long weekend. From August 30th until September 2nd, you can count on several performances from some amazing musicians. There will be performances on August 30th, from 6pm to 11pm, and Saturday, Sunday and Monday, from 12 pm to 6 pm. Come alone, with your family or friends. Everyone is welcome!

 

Artfest Toronto

Explore some of Canada's most talented artists and artisans at Artfest Toronto. Join thousands of art enthusiasts in the Distillery District, from August 30th to September 2nd, for a long weekend filled with arts, crafts and gourmet food. This annual art festival is unique because of its breathtaking historic setting and it's perfect for everyone including kids and families. If nothing else, come and get inspired by all the amazing talent!

 

Toronto Rib, Bacon and BBQ Festival

If BBQ is your favourite thing ever, then you have to check out the Toronto Rib, Bacon and BBQ Festival. Get ready for 

 food trucks, food vendors and some of the best BBQ chicken and ribs you'll ever taste! There will also be live music performances and a Kids Zone to keep your little ones entertained. The festival will be held at Downsview Park on August 30th until September 2nd, from 11 am to 11 pm. Don't forget to come hungry!
