Our Guide to the Calgary Stampede!

The Calgary Stampede is an annual event that welcomes more than 1.2 million visitors a year from around the world. Also known as the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth, this unique 10 day event blends the very best in Western Canadian culture and contemporary entertainment. Key highlights include the Stampede Rodeo and chuckwagon races, the Midway, and a variety of musical concerts with multiple venues featuring some of the world's most popular performers. Stampede Rodeo

One of the Calgary Stampede's Premiere events, the Tournament Style Rodeo, features the world's toughest competitors. Situated in the Rodeo grounds stadium, with excellent sight lines and sun drenched orientation, there are six main events that happen daily including the ladies barrel racing, bareback, tie-down roping, steer wrestling, and saddle bronc and bull riding. Evening Show

Get ready for the "thunder and wonder" of the GMC Rangeland Derby, and the Calgary Stampede Grandstand Show. Epic, highly entertaining chuckwagon racing is followed by a stellar stage show featuring music and dance, making for a memorable evening. Shows start at 7:45 p.m. daily during Stampede. Coca Cola Stage

Nashville North

Nashville North is Calgary's - and indeed Canada's - premiere venue for country music north of the 49th parallel. This legendary hotspot, located on the Calgary Stampede grounds, has hosted acts like Johnny Reid, Eric Church, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and many more. Check it out.
