Celebrate Spring in Toronto!

Spring has sprung in Toronto and there's so much to be excited about! BentallGreenOak Residential Services has a few suggestions for fun events and activities to check out in Toronto.

Cherry Blossoms in High Park

Head over to High Park to check out the cherry blossoms in full bloom. Every year, thousands of people gather to check out these beautiful flowers bloom -- a stunning sight which only lasts for 4-10 days. If you're interested, you can check out the latest bloom predictions here and plan your visit. Save yourself the headache and consider taking public transportation over driving since parking in the area will be a nightmare, even by Toronto standards.

Films at Hot Docs

If you're a documentary film fan, you won't want to miss the 2019 Hot Docs Festival. It's the largest documentary film festival in North America and it's on in Toronto from April 25th to May 5th. This is your chance to check out amazing work by Canadian and International filmmakers at venues across the city. Tickets are on sale now, so hurry up and get yours!

Toronto Flower Market

The Toronto Flower Market returns for another beautiful season. Check it out to celebrate Ontario-grown flowers, plants and gardners. The market kicks of on Saturday, May 11th at CAMH and runs monthly until October. With over 30 vendors, there is so much to explore. For the full market schedule, check out the Toronto Flower Market.

Paddle the Don

This Spring, it's your chance to raise awareness about the health of the Don River. Join hundreds of Torontonians on this urban adventure surrounded by nature and help protect the environment. Paddle on the Don will take place on May 5th at E.T Setton Park near Leslie and Eglinton. You can register and donate online.

Pedestrian Sunday

Kensington Market's Pedestrian Sunday is back this year starting on May 26th. This is a great opportunity to check out the independent businesses in the area and celebrate the funkiness of this incredible neighbourhood. The streets will be closed from 12-7pm so pedestrians can roam free. Expect all kinds of artists, performers and musicians and hopefully good weather.

Run or Walk the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail

There's nothing like a walk by the water on a beautiful Spring day and there's no better place to do it than the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail. This is the perfect place to enjoy the warmer weather. Whether you want a workout with a view or a leisurely cycle or walk, this is a fantastic place to go. If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a Bixi in several spots along the trail. Check out the trail route online.

BentallGreenOak hopes you enjoy spring in Toronto and give these awesome local events and activities a go!
